Develop a digital health care journey for hyper-personalized behavioral cues - to assist patients in achieving improved diabetes management and enhancing their overall health outcomes.
This program was designed to test habit formation with non-monetary rewards and gamification among Type 1 diabetics who were generally a younger audience than for most other chronic care journeys, and therefore more digitally savvy. CGMs were integrated to draw signal data for remote monitoring.
This Type 1 Diabetes (IMT1D) program enrolled 155 participants with a median age of 36 years. 43% utilized wearable health trackers.
DSTAR survey results (from 11 participants who completed both initial and final surveys): 1 participant showed improvement; 6 participants maintained their initial scores.
The program showed resonance with two groups: Recently diagnosed diabetics (<5 years); Long-term diabetics (>16 years)
Over half (57%) of participants rated their experience as either "Excellent" (14%) or "Good" (43%).
App Recommendation: 71% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed they would recommend the program
